Retreat Terms & Conditions – Sage Wise Co. (SWC)
Please read these terms carefully before booking your retreat. By registering Or submitting payment, you agree to the following:
Payment Terms & Non-Refundable Policy
All retreat payments are non-refundable, without exception. This includes deposit-only payments and payment plans. If you choose a payment plan, you are committing to paying the full retreat amount. Payments are not contingent upon your attendance. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your spot to another eligible participant pending written approval.In the event that Sage Wise Co. must cancel or postpone the retreat for any reason (excluding force majeure or acts beyond our control), you will receive a full refund of any payments made, minus any transaction or administrative fees OR you may apply your purchase to a future retreat ticket. We are not responsible for other costs you may have incurred (flights, hotels, etc.).
Non-Transferability & Substitution
Retreat bookings are non-transferable without prior written consent from Sage Wise Co. If a participant wishes to transfer their booking to another individual, this must be approved in writing and may incur a $200 administrative fee. Replacement attendees are subject to the same vetting and eligibility requirements.Age Requirement
Participants must be 21 years or older to attend any Sage Wise Co. retreat. We do not accept minors under any circumstances.Right to Refuse Participation
Sage Wise Co. reserves the right to refuse participation to any individual before or during the retreat for reasons including but not limited to physical health, mental stability, or energetic incompatibility, at the facilitator’s discretion, in accordance with the Non-Refundable Policy.Medical Conditions & Special Requirements
You must disclose any physical or mental health conditions, dietary restrictions, disabilities, or pregnancy on your registration form or in writing before attending the retreat. This includes any symptoms of illness or recent exposure to infectious disease (such as Covid-19).Certain retreats may not be suitable for individuals with limited mobility, complex medical conditions, or pregnancy. While we do our best to honor special requests (including dietary needs), we cannot guarantee accommodations unless previously agreed in writing. It is your responsibility to consult your healthcare provider before attending the retreat.
Failure to disclose relevant medical or health-related information may result in being denied participation, without refund.
Health & Safety Acknowledgment
You affirm that you are mentally, physically, and emotionally fit to participate in retreat activities, including any movement practices, plant medicine ceremonies (if applicable), group processes, and outdoor excursions.
You are responsible for consulting with your physician or other health professionals regarding your ability to safely participate.
If you are taking medication or have any health concerns, you must disclose this confidentially prior to the retreat. We reserve the right to deny participation if we believe it’s in the best interest of your safety or that of the group.
Sacred Mushroom Ceremony Participation
This retreat may include participation in a guided sacred ceremony involving psilocybin-containing mushrooms (also referred to as “sacred medicine,” “entheogens,” or “ceremony medicine”). Participation is entirely voluntary and is not required to attend or benefit from the retreat.By choosing to participate, you acknowledge the following:
You are of sound mind and body, not currently experiencing a psychotic episode, nor have you been diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or other conditions that may be adversely affected by entheogenic substances.
You are not currently taking medications or substances that may dangerously interact with psilocybin (such as SSRIs, MAOIs, lithium, etc.) and understand it is your responsibility to consult with a qualified healthcare provider before participating.
You agree to follow all ceremony guidelines and facilitator instructions for safety, emotional wellbeing, and sacred respect.
You understand that psychedelic experiences may bring up difficult emotions, repressed memories, or physical discomfort, and you willingly accept this as part of your healing journey.
You acknowledge that integration is essential and agree to take personal responsibility for continuing this work beyond the ceremony.
Sage Wise Co. does not guarantee any specific outcome from this ceremonial experience and assumes no responsibility for medical or psychological consequences arising from your participation.
Strict Vegan Retreat Policy
Sage Wise Co. retreats are held in a fully vegan container. No animal products (including meat, dairy, eggs, honey, or animal-derived supplements) are permitted on the retreat property or in shared spaces at any time. This applies to both provided meals and any food or drink brought by participants.This policy ensures that the energy of the retreat remains in integrity with our collective values of Earth reverence, energetic alignment, and non-violence toward all beings. If you have medical or dietary concerns related to this requirement, please notify us during registration so we can explore supportive options.
By completing your registration, you agree to honor and uphold this guideline in full. Any violation may result in immediate dismissal from the retreat, in accordance with the Non-Refundable Policy.
Assumption of Risk
By attending a Sage Wise Co. retreat, you voluntarily acknowledge and assume all risks related to travel, nature-based activities, healing modalities, emotional release work, and ceremonial experiences.These risks include, but are not limited to: illness, allergic reactions, injuries, emotional discomfort, exposure to the elements, and lack of access to immediate medical care in remote areas.
You release and hold harmless Sage Wise Co., its employees, agents, and collaborators from any and all liability for any loss, injury, illness, or damages that may occur as a result of your participation in this retreat.
This agreement extends to your heirs, representatives, or legal assigns and survives the completion of the retreat.
Non-Responsibility Clause
Sage Wise Co., and its employees, shareholders, agents, and representatives, work with third-party vendors and facilitators to provide retreat services (transportation, lodging, food, etc.). These are independent contractors and not employees of Sage Wise Co.Sage Wise Co. is not liable for any losses, injuries, or damages resulting from the actions, omissions, or negligence of these third-party suppliers. We accept no responsibility for delays, theft, changes to itineraries, cancellations, or any acts of God, terrorism, pandemic, natural disaster, or government restrictions.
We reserve the right to make necessary changes to the schedule, venue, or facilitators at any time.
Behavioral Conduct
To maintain a safe, respectful, and energetically aligned environment, Sage Wise Co. reserves the right to remove any participant whose actions endanger the safety, comfort, or wellbeing of others, or who disrupts the retreat experience in any way.Participants are expected to uphold group integrity by respecting all boundaries, agreements, and sacred spaces. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited: harassment, intoxication, use of unauthorized substances, verbal aggression, or any sexual activity during the retreat—whether with others or self-directed in shared environments.
Dismissal from the retreat for such reasons will be handled in accordance with the Non-Refundable Policy. Participants agree to indemnify Sage Wise Co. against any claims, costs, or damages resulting from their conduct.
Venue & Environmental Integrity
Participants agree to honor the retreat property and surrounding natural environment. This includes respecting wildlife, not removing natural materials, and refraining from damaging or defacing property. Any damage caused intentionally or through negligence will be the financial responsibility of the participant.Force Majeure
We are not responsible for retreat cancellations, delays, or interruptions due to natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, or other events beyond our control. In these instances, we will work with you to reschedule or transfer your booking but cannot guarantee a refund.Travel & Insurance
You are responsible for arranging your own travel to and from the retreat location, unless explicitly stated otherwise. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes coverage for trip cancellations, delays, personal health emergencies, and retreat activities.Photography & Media Release
By participating in this retreat, you acknowledge that photos and videos may be taken by Sage Wise Co. staff or fellow participants. These images may be used in promotional materials, social media, or website content. If you prefer not to have your image used, you must notify us in writing before the retreat. Otherwise, you grant Sage Wise Co. a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use your likeness for publicity and marketing.Limitation of Liability
In the unlikely event that Sage Wise Co. is found legally liable for any claim, the total amount of damages recoverable shall not exceed the amount paid by the participant for retreat registration. This clause applies even if any part of the Waiver of Liability is deemed unenforceable in court. In no event shall Sage Wise Co., its affiliates, or facilitators be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in this retreat.Agreement Acknowledgment
